DC Universe Online

Ah, E3, the biggest gaming event of the year. E3 2009 was full of amazing games, and this year more MMOs than we could count! Check out Part 1 of The MMO Report's E3 2009 Special featuring DC Universe Online, Heroes of Telar, The Agency, Soul of the Ultimate Nation, Huxley and APB. Then come back here tomorrow to check out Part 2. Yes, there really were that many MMOs on the show floor. And yes, I'm exhausted. Enjoy.
DC Universe Online is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (darkfall gold) set in the DC Universe. SOE hopes to make a different kind of MMORPG, with The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction being cited as one of the main inspirations for gameplay. SOE is working to make DC Universe Online more interactive than standard MMORPGs, while trying to keep key elements of RPGs, which include a leveling system and inventories. The world is mainly shared, public space instead of heroes or villains owning territory. The public space features a dynamically-generated content designed for both hero and villain player characters (uniquely created by the player, who can not choose stalwarts DCU), which may lead to interesting Player Versus Player battles [citation needed].
Heroes of Telar is the next evolution of massively online fantasy role-playing games. Taking full advantage of Trion's server-based technology, Heroes of Telar promised an unprecedented level of rich and dynamic entertainment in a stunning ever-changing world. Limitless new content, unexpected challenges and recurring events will push the gaming experience to the highest level, defining a new era of online gaming.
