Venezuela wins sixth crown of Miss Universe
NASSAU (Reuters) - Venezuela Stefania Fernandez, a 18-year-old brunette won the title Miss Universe 2009 on Sunday, his country of South America, the second consecutive victory and his sixth title in the competitive beauty.
The Venezuelan model slim defeated the favorites from Australia and the Dominican Republic for the 58th Winner of the crown in a live broadcast show to the world of Atlantis, Paradise Resort in the Bahamas to Iceland.
The first runner-up is Miss Dominican Republic Ada Aimee de la Cruz, while Miss Kosovo Dragusha Gona was the second finalist.
Fernandez received the crown from fellow Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela, the 2008 Miss Universe contest in the city of Nha Trang city of Vietnam won.

Fernandez was chosen among five finalists chosen from a total field of 83 candidates. The five other finalists from the Dominican Republic, Kosovo, Australia and Puerto Rico.
In deciding questions about which of the announcement of the winners in advance, Fernandez was a judge of the obstacles faced by women anxious to put as leader of the corporations in question.
"We already have achieved the same level as men," she replied confidently, speaking through an interpreter.
Before her 21-year-old Australian model Rachael Finch, who was widely tipped to win the crown, defending the pageant, the parade of swimsuits that had sometimes been criticized by critics of beauty contests.
"I think our body is a beautiful part of the women, and we must show the world," says Finch.
Government officials in the Bahamas, a group of islands scattered Keys and the southeastern United States, hoping that the participation in the Miss Universe 2009 would provide a badly needed short-term, promoting Iceland's economy and tourism industry.
